Preferred pronunciation is 'Florida CARS'
The acronym stands for: Florida Alliance of Certified Asset Recovery Specialists.
The operational name 'FLACARS' was selected by the membership largely because of it's recognition in Tallahassee.  FLACARS Inc. has also registered the names Florida Association of Licensed Recovery Agents (FALRA) and Florida Association of Licensed Repossessors (FALR)  with the Department of State. These additional names stand in limbo to use or not use as the membership sees fit.
