Honoring an Industry Hero After many years of service as the Director of the Division of Licensing, John Russi recently retired. Mr. Russi served the recovery industry with great honor and dignity. His ears were always open. Words alone could not possibly express the thanks and respect our industry has for Mr. Russi. The Recovery Industry felt a need to express the undying gratitude to Mr. Russi’s for his years of true service. The John Russi / Recovery Industry Scholarship Fund has been fully funded and will be endowed annually in virtual perpetuity. To qualify for the scholarship award a student must meet the following criteria: A. Recipient shall be the child or grandchild of a person licensed or licensed until their death or retirement in good standing under Florida Statutes Chapter 493 to conduct repossessions. Or: B. Recipient shall be the surviving child or grandchild of a law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty. Or: C. Recipient shall be the surviving child or grandchild of a military person killed in the line of duty. Or:

qualifying recipient is located money is to stay in fund for growth. Annual scholarship amount is set @ $1000.
