| Florida Repossessors began
getting organized in the early
1980s, The association was built to fight for the rights of recovery agents.
Instrumental in the passage of Florida Law which now governs repossession
activity in Florida, the association is still alive and well. Since the
re-organization in 2003 FLACARS has successfully generated funds used for
the specific purpose of lobby efforts in Tallahassee. Florida repossession law serves as a mold for many states considering similar legislation. What happens in Florida is important to the recovery industry nationwide.
